Developing a Strategic Approach
Organisations will be expected to include work related
stress management in their risk assessments under the ‘Management
of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999’
and to take action where risks have been identified. The risk assessment
research approach provides a robust framework through which organisations
can measure the impact of stress risk factors.
Our key methodology involves conducting dynamic
stress audits and surveys to provide a relevant database of opinion.
This involves consulting with representative groups of personnel
whose views are systematically and actively investigated to elicit
perceptions and opinions. This can take the form of a series of
structured one-to-one interviews or a sequence of focus groups with
selected workforce groupings. The information collected is rigorously
analysed and, if required, subsequently transformed into a quantitative
questionnaire to form a staff survey. A report of the process and
results is produced and the recommendations presented to key groups
of personnel.
